Disloyalty

The confusion I felt 

The heartache that was felt deep down in my soul 

I never saw it coming, especially from you

How could you do that to me? 

I know we share the same blood, but now I see that we don’t share the same loyalty 

How could you betray me like this? 

How could you let those hurtful words come out of your mouth? 

Don’t you know words have power? 

You can choose to speak life or death, and you have chosen to speak death over me 

I am in a state of shock as I look back on all the sweet memories we shared, knowing that those memories will be all I have left of you as I forgive you and move on without you in my life .
