Gift of Exhortation

By

I believe God has gifted me with the ability to exhort, derived from the Greek word paraklésis, meaning “to call alongside; to encourage or admonish.” The gift of exhortation is a person’s unique ability to encourage and edify others. This person delights in finding Scriptures that apply to a situation and teaching others how to apply them.

This spiritual gift, mentioned in Romans 12:6–8, enables one to encourage and edify others, particularly by applying Scripture to various situations. This gift has led me to write three devotionals and helped me inspire others through the word of God, whether through daily text messages or inspiring words in my writings.

It’s a gift that I don’t take for granted. So many people are in need of a word of encouragement during these unprecedented times, so it’s my hope through these articles of encouragement, the love of God is felt and explored through the words of this article that were inspired by the word of God.

Book of Faith: Mustard Seed

Having even a small amount of faith can help you achieve great things. No matter what challenges you are facing, activate your faith and witness positive changes in your life.

“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” ~Matthew 17:20 (NKJV)~

Book of Hope: DESPAIR VS. HOPE

Despair has a way of entering your life and causing you to lose hope in certain situations.
In those times, it’s imperative that we don’t focus on the despair but place our hope in knowing that things will get better.

“I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.” ~Psalms 130:5 NLT~

Book of Love: GARMENT OF LOVE

Clothe yourself in love as you go throughout your day. Let the love that comes from Christ be a garment that you constantly wear. Share that garment with others and let it bind us together in harmony.

“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”
~Colossians 3:14 NLT~
