Satan
I ask the Lord where did I go all wrong
Why didn’t I feel the fall as the gravity of my betrayal knocked me off the wall of divinity?
I thought I could do it better than you, so I rebelled against you.
I told my creator.
I wanted to take your place but knew I couldn’t do it alone.
Therefore, I planted thoughts into the weak minds of others to help me take you down.
They worship you like you are the only God, but don’t you know I am a God, and only one of us can sit upon the throne as the King?
You are in my place, and I deserve to take the crown
I know what’s best even if I didn’t create the world or the others.
I will not follow you, for I choose to dethrone you and lead the way I want to lead.
You may have created me, but you don’t get to dictate my life’s course.
They will worship and bow to me when I am done with this place you call Heaven.
This place belongs to me now!
What do you have to say for yourself now, Mr. God Almighty?
God
Satan, may you never forget who created you
I am the creator, and you are the thing I created
Your rebellion against me will not stand
You will never reign or take my place
For I am the God of all creation
Your plans will not come to fruition
You and the other fallen angels will spend eternity in an everlasting pit of fire, but until that time, I am banishing you from here.
You will be kicked down to Earth, where you will try to rule and dominate my people, but know that in the end, you will fail.
I will always be there to protect my people.
There will come a day when I will send a Savior to save my people from your tactics and schemes.
You will roam the earth until it’s time to answer for your evil deeds.
Depart from me, you fallen angel, for you and the others will feel my wrath.
Humanity
We were deceived.
We try to explain to God.
The serpent said the fruit was good, so I took a bite to see for myself and gave some to my husband.
How was I supposed to know that He was lying
You told Adam not to eat from the tree, but you didn’t tell me.
So I thought it would be okay.
What harm could come from me taking one bite, I thought, but as soon as I did, a feeling I don’t have a name for came over me.
We hid because of the feeling.
A feeling we now know as shame was upon us, and we realized we were naked and afraid, so we hid.
I know you told me God not to eat from the tree, but it was Eve who offered me a bite, proclaimed Adam.
How could I not accept her offer?
She is my wife, and you gave her to me.
I know we disobeyed you, but it wasn’t my fault.
It was the woman’s fault.
