Spoken Thoughts

Some thoughts are meant to be spoken

We often think we have all the time in the world, but most of us don’t realize that time is a gift, and we don’t know when that time may come to an end.
I believe we all have a purpose on this earth; some reach it because they respect the time they have left and are productive with it.
Others, on the other hand, take it for granted, not realizing it can be taken away in the blink of an eye.
Every new day God allows us to wake up is a gift that should be celebrated and given thanks for.
It’s a new day to make positive changes, to be better than you were the day before, to trust God and seek Him while you still can.
It’s a new day for you to share the Word of God with others while helping your neighbor.
It’s a fresh new opportunity to use it to benefit others.
Don’t let your time be consumed by things that are not beneficial or helpful for you or others.
It’s a beautiful gift that needs to be used for the greater good, not left unused.
It’s a commodity that will run out one day, but until then, it’s a tool that can be used for the glory of God if you are using it wisely.
I am reminded of this scripture in the Bible when I think of how little time we have here on Earth.
In the NLT version of the Book of James Chapter 4, verse 14, we read, “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow?
Your life is like the morning fog- it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.” but somehow we forget that as we make plans for tomorrow or the future not knowing if we will even see that day.
We tend to make plans without praying to God, asking Him if it’s His will for us to see tomorrow or the future, thinking somehow we can control the time.
I am not saying we shouldn’t plan for tomorrow or the future, but we shouldn’t worry about them.
I am saying seek God concerning those things because the Book of Matthew Chapter 6, verse 34 NLT version states, “ So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.
Today’s trouble is enough for today.
So enjoy the time you have today and make great use of it before it runs out.
