After the Storm

The heavens are my canopy, and your love is my shield,

Nothing can take away the joy I have in you.

The sun will shine on me even brighter when I emerge from this storm,

My faith is strong, and I know the Son will soon take away the sorrow.

I trust the Lord and will keep my faith despite the unfavorable weather,

The sun will shine brightly through the darkness, and the hope of a brighter tomorrow will keep me pressing forward.

My faith allows me to rejoice in the Lord,

And I accept the challenge of this storm,

You, O Lord, have been walking with me every step of this journey.

You feel my pain and wipe away my tears, Jesus.

You are the rays of sunlight that give me hope to keep going,

Your love overcomes the darkness, and I know that the sun will soon shine upon my face again, and I will bask in its glorious rays.
