Happy Mother’s Day
Today in the U.S., we celebrate and honor our mothers for all they do. Being a mom is not for the weak; I should know since I am blessed with two beautiful daughters, god-daughters, and my nephew, whom I call my own. I am forever grateful for this title. I want to honor not just my mom but all the moms out there, whether you are a mom, grandmother, godmother, aunt, foster mom, adopted mom, or a mom of a blended family. Today, I salute and honor you. Keep being the amazing mother you are.
“A Flower Like No Other”
Of all the flowers in His garden, you, my dear, were planted to stand out,
There is no other flower like you,
I want to thank God for you as we celebrate another Mother’s Day with you.
You show up on days when your world is falling apart, but you never let it show as you embrace us with your love and care while giving us your heart.
You make sacrifices so we don’t go without, while praying this will be the end of the drought.
From financial worries to our health and well-being, you do all you can to shield us from the pain within.
At times, giving up seems like the best way to go, but you think of us and you keep moving without a fuss,
A flower so unique and so beautiful, and we are forever grateful that the Gardener chose you for us.
You are selfless in all ways that count,
You are the backbone of your children, even if you don’t believe it, there would be no us without you.
There is nothing we wouldn’t do for you, as we honor you for all you do.
You took the reins of motherhood with fear and doubt, but you didn’t let it stop you from giving it all you got.
There aren’t enough words to express how much you mean to us, but please remember, there will never be another flower like you.
“One of A Kind”
A mother like you is rare, and it’s true you don’t get all the flowers you are worth, but that doesn’t stop you from being you.
You are the one that many call blessed, not knowing that at times, you deal with overwhelming stress, but you wouldn’t trade this title in for anything because you have the strength needed to persevere through.
You are one of a kind, and your child or children are blessed to have you as their mother.
So take a bow for all you do, not for the applause but because you do all you can to make sure that the ones who call you mom are well taken care of, even if you have to make sacrifices to get through.
Keep being the amazing mom that you are
You are blessed, loved, and celebrated, and God knew what He was doing when He created you.
“No One Like You”
Today, we celebrate and honor you for taking care of other people’s children, as they belong to you.
The love you show helps them grow,
You are blessed beyond measure as you step into a role many take for granted.
You are exactly what they needed, and you gave without ceasing,
Oh, how thankful we are for women like you.
You don’t receive your flowers or acknowledgment regularly, but that doesn’t stop you from doing what you do.
Thank you for sharing pieces of yourselves with my children and others; I am forever grateful for all you do.
