Letting go isn’t so easy

It’s time for me to release you

For time, is no longer on our side.

I will cherish the memories and the love I still have for you on the inside.

I knew this day would come, and I can finally let you go.

The timing wasn’t right for us.

Maybe we could have been more if time was on our side.

I thank you for the laughter that escaped my mouth when you were around, it was a sound I haven’t heard in a while.

Thank you for the smile that was easily brought to my face thanks to your silliness.

I will miss those moments with you, but there’s nothing I can do about it now.
