Spoken Thoughts

Some thoughts are meant to be spoken

Dancing in the Rain

You can allow the rainstorms of life to stop you or dance your way through. The choice is yours.

I may not know why things happen as they do, but I know from experience that no dark days last forever, and you will learn how to dance in the rain no matter what storms come your way if you choose to look beyond your pain.

The raging storms of life may temporarily hinder you, but they don’t have the ability to keep you there. The choice is yours. You can choose to let life’s bad hand control your path, or you can embrace it and learn how to dance through it.

No one has said that life will be filled with sunshine every day, but I am here to remind you that there will be storms in our lives. After every storm, a rainbow appears—a rainbow of hope and a promise that storms don’t last forever.

This poem is a remembrance of my hardships, as I learned to dance in the rain during some of life’s most challenging times. My wish for you is that you would learn to embrace challenges and dance your way through.

Dancing in the Rain

Seeing beyond the pain while dancing in the rain

Free of the thoughts that once weighed you down,

A new normal you didn’t plan, but you embraced it, knowing it wouldn’t be easy.

You could have given up, but you chose to see the pain through a different lens,

A lens where it wasn’t all about you, but how you could let your ordeal be a testimony to others on how they, too, can make it through.

You begin to live by the motto ” No gain, no pain,” realizing that everything in life serves a purpose.

Rather good or bad,

Happy or sad,

There’s life and hope in every story.
