Was it Worth It, Jesus?

You made the ultimate sacrifice by dying on the cross for our sins, knowing that many will still not accept you.

You ask that we confess with our mouths that you are God’s son and died for our sins.

You ask for our obedience to your teachings.

You ask us to rely on faith rather than what we see.

You ask us to seek you daily and entrust our burdens to you.

You ask us to treat our neighbors with the same love and care as ourselves.

You ask us to treat others as we would want to be treated.

You ask us not to fear, even when we go through difficult times.

You ask us to trust in you.

You asked us to show courage, but you didn’t need our permission to sacrifice your life for our sins.

No, you didn’t need our consent because God sent you to take our sins and crucify them with you on the cross.

So, Jesus, I wonder if it was worth it for you, knowing that some people will never acknowledge you as the Messiah, the one true living King.
