Your Love

Is my reason for surrendering my life to you and following you, Jesus. The trajectory of my life has been positively impacted by your love.

You love me unconditionally and request only one thing from me.

Why do I find it so difficult to offer my entirety to you?

You know my flaws, challenges, moods, and self-centered tendencies, yet you continue to love me without ceasing.

I can lay down all my weaknesses before you without fear of judgment.

When I am having a difficult day, you are there to lend an ear and provide solace.

Why do I not find that sufficient?

Your desire is solely for my welfare.

You even sacrificed your only child to atone for my transgressions.

How much more will you invest in me if I am not receptive to your grace and mercy?

Your love is akin to a comforting blanket that envelops me in times of coldness.

You are the source of my happiness.

Even when I am traversing dark paths, you stand by my side.

When the past threatens to overpower me, you guide me towards a promising future, knowing that even those struggles shall eventually pass.

How is it that you have not abandoned me?

The love you always shower upon me is more than I deserve, yet you never cease to give it generously.

I am grateful for your love and promise to reciprocate it.

I am ready to walk with you now and refuse to let go of your hand.
