Life is far more precious than we often realize. Most of us move through our days forgetting how limited our time truly is. The Bible reminds us that our lives are “a vapor… here for a little while and then it vanishes” (James 4:14).
Since we don’t know when our last day will come, I encourage you to live each one like it matters. Make memories with the people you love. Share kindness and love freely—like tossing confetti wherever you go. And as Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Everything we experience in this life is temporary. God’s Word says, “The things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18). So don’t let the stress or chaos distract you from living a life that honors God—one filled with hope even when circumstances look hopeless (Romans 15:13), rooted in faith in Jesus (Hebrews 12:2), and committed to doing good, even when it’s difficult (Galatians 6:9–10).
Take time to really examine your life honestly and gently. If there are changes you want to make, do them while you still have the opportunity. Scripture encourages us, “Examine yourselves” (2 Corinthians 13:5). And each morning, when God wakes you up to a new day, let it remind you: “this is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”(Psalm 118:24).
Make every day count.
