Spoken Thoughts

Some thoughts are meant to be spoken

“God Says, I Got You”

There’s something about those words:

“I got you.”
Simple. Soft.
Strong enough to quiet a storm inside your chest.

When they come from someone you trust, your spirit exhales, your shoulders drop, and peace steps into the room.

And family—that’s exactly how it’s meant to be in our relationship with Jesus.

Because throughout Scripture—page after page, story after story—God is whispering, shouting, and declaring: “I got you.”

But we forget, don’t we?
We look at the waves instead of the One who walks on them.
We let the battle’s noise drown out the God who delivered us last time…and the time before that…and the time before that.

Is it unbelief?
Forgetfulness?
Life hitting harder than our faith feels ready for?
Maybe.
But whatever the reason—hear this today:

God. Has. You.

His Word says,
“I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).
Not for a moment.
Not in your lowest valley.
Not in your silent nights.

He says,
“I know the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

He is your calm when the storm rages (Mark 4:39).
Your light when darkness presses in (Psalm 27:1).
Your guide when the path gets confusing (Proverbs 3:5–6).

So hear it again—
not from people,
not from shaky promises,
but from the God who cannot lie:

“I GOT YOU.”

He’s holding you when you slip,
covering you when you’re overwhelmed,
strengthening you when you feel empty,
keeping you when you can’t keep yourself.

Maybe today is the moment—
the turning point—
where you choose to trust Him
more than you’ve trusted people
who could never hold you the way God does.

Because when God says,
“I got you,”
believe it.
Rest in it.
Stand on it.

And let those three Heaven-backed words wrap around your heart and remind you:

He’s got you.
He always has.
And He always will.
