Seeing True Colors During Spiritual Growth
When it’s you, the support of loved ones feels absent.
When it’s you, they remember who you used to be,
not who you have become.
When it’s you, they forget the sacrifices you made and the times you’ve been there for them.
When God begins elevates you,
they forget their promises to stand by you.
When it’s you, silence grows loud,
and true colors show.
Many will not support or celebrate you, but that’s okay, because it’s you God chose,
and you don’t need anyone’s approval.
Let them forget your acts of love and sacrifice.
You did not do it for recognition, but out of love.
And because it’s you,
you will keep moving forward,
with or without them by your side.
