There comes a time when we must stop chasing what no longer serves God’s purpose for our lives. I have reached that place. I am choosing to surrender every desire to Jesus, trusting Him fully—because He knows the plans He has for my life.
I’ve learned that I often run ahead of God, and when I do, I end up frustrated and stuck. But stagnation is no longer my portion, nor is desiring what was never meant for me.
This revelation required pause, reflection, and humility. I’m grateful God opened my eyes, and I’ve decided this is no longer the life I want. I want the life God has for me—one rooted in His will.
Walking in God’s will requires trust, especially when the path isn’t clear. It means releasing my need to understand everything and choosing complete obedience instead. Even when I want to move ahead of Him, I am learning to wait, listen, and follow.
Surrender is a process, but I know this: my way hasn’t worked, and God’s way always will. His plans are purposeful, intentional, and full of promise.
If you find yourself stuck in a similar cycle, I pray you choose today to trust Him fully. Our role is not to rush ahead, but to step aside, trust, surrender, and let Him lead.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” ~Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)~
Reflection
What area in your life is God asking you to slow down, surrender, and trust Him more deeply?
🙏 Prayer
Lord, help me release the urge to run ahead of You. Teach me to trust Your timing, Your plans, and Your will for my life. I surrender my desires to You today and ask You to lead me in every step. Amen.
