Letting Go of Fear, Childhood Trauma, and Finding My Identity in Christ

Woman kneeling in prayer at sunset with a cross in the background, representing healing through surrendering to God.
Healing is not always instant.
Sometimes it is a process of release.
A surrender.
Healing
I held onto my fears,
My pain,
And my childhood trauma—
Even after my sins
Were forgiven
On the cross.
I thought I could overcome them
On my own,
Not realizing
That holding onto them
Was preventing
My healing.
They kept me lost,
Wandering
In the wilderness.
I knew I had to let them go
For good.
They could no longer
Be a part
Of my story.
I couldn’t move forward
Until I surrendered them
To God.
And when I did,
He took them from me
And gave me
A fresh start.
I was no longer
That broken little girl,
But a new woman
In Christ.
Healing begins where surrender starts. Let go of the pain, fear, or past hurts that God has already forgiven. Ask yourself: What if you really released them? What could God rebuild in you if you let Him? You are not meant to wander in the wilderness forever. Freedom is possible. A fresh start is waiting.
