He Is Closer Than You Think.

In tough times of stress and disappointment, I remember that Jesus is always there. This poem is a reflection of leaning on Him when everything else feels uncertain.

Jesus Is My Strength

There are moments when I feel like crying

When everything seems stacked against me.

I dwell in a stressful place,

Heavily desiring

To give up.

The people you expect

To be there for you

Suddenly aren’t.

You feel hopeless,

Abandoned,

And confused.

No one truly grasps

The magnitude

Of the issues

You’re dealing with.

I have learned

That you cannot rely on people

In your time of need.

Therefore, I put my faith

And hope in Jesus,

Because He is the only One

Who can make a way

Out of no way.

If you need to cry,

Release the tears,

And know that joy

Comes in the morning.

The situation

You felt like giving up on

Will not last forever.

At times,

Uncomfortable situations

And tests arrive

To strengthen our faith

And reliance on God.

Stand firm in your faith,

No matter what fear

And doubt may be whispering

In your ear.

The Word of God says,

“He will never leave

Nor forsake me.”
