Learning to receive the same wisdom, grace, and life we so freely give to others.

There are seasons when we pour so much into others that we forget to allow others to pour into us, too.
We speak wisdom.
We encourage.
We pray for others.
We remind people of who they are in God.
We speak life over their dry bones.
Yet somehow, while doing all that, we overlook our own.
We remind others that God is faithful.
We encourage them not to give up.
We tell them that their breakthrough is coming.
But when it comes to our own struggles, we sometimes remain silent.
It is possible to nourish everyone around you while quietly starving your own soul.
It’s like feeding everyone from your house while your own plate sits empty. You pour, serve, and give—but you never take a moment to rest and nourish yourself.
God never intended for you to only be the vessel that pours; He also intends for you to be the one who receives.
The same wisdom you share with others is wisdom meant for you too.
The same encouragement you give others is the encouragement your heart also needs.
You must also speak the same life over yourself that you speak over others.
You are not just the messenger of hope.
You are also a recipient of it.
Sometimes, true healing comes when you take a moment to bring life to your own dry bones.
To remind yourself of what you have been telling everyone else:
God is still faithful.
God is still present.
God is still working.
And remember this truth:
The God who uses you to pour into others has never stopped pouring into you.
Sometimes you just have to slow down long enough to receive it.
Reflection
Where in your life have you focused on others but ignored your own spiritual and emotional needs?
What would it look like to extend the same grace, wisdom, and encouragement to yourself today?
Affirmation
I will not only pour into others.
I will allow God to pour into me.
