The Sacrifice and Resurrection of Jesus: A Poem of Faith, Love, and Redemption

By

A heartfelt Christian poem reflecting on the cross, the resurrection, and the unfailing love of Jesus Christ

Jesus rose with all power—
not just to be remembered,
but to be lived through us daily.

There are moments when I pause and reflect—not just on where I am, but on everything that was done for me to even have this life. The sacrifice on the cross is not just a story I revisit once a year; it is a truth I carry with me daily.

When I think about the love of Jesus Christ—a love so pure, so intentional, so undeserved—it humbles me in ways words can barely capture.

This poem was written from a place of deep gratitude and reverence, a reminder that His sacrifice was personal, His love was purposeful, and His resurrection was the victory that changed everything for us all.

He Has Risen

As I look back over my life

and the sacrifice You made for me on the cross, Jesus,

I stand in awe.

You—

the perfect, spotless Lamb—

chose suffering

for me.

You saw me

as worthy

and gave Your life

so I could live.

No matter the day

or the month Resurrection Sunday falls,

I will always remember

the sacrifice You made

for every human being.

This truth

will forever rest in my heart:

You rose

just as You said You would.

Thank You

for the ultimate sacrifice, Lord Jesus.

Each day, I remember Calvary—

not as a distant story,

but as a living reminder

never to take Your love

in vain.

I could never repay You.

Your love

was the price You paid—

pure,

spotless,

unfailing.

A spotless Lamb

taking on my stains

and the weight of many

so we may be free,

so we may have eternal life

if we choose You.

The tomb

could not hold You.

Death could not defeat You.

The victory is won.

You have risen.
