My King

Through every phase of my life, Jesus is the King of Kings who guides me.

“King of Kings”

On this new path I am traveling on,

I don’t fight alone,

I don’t walk alone,

I don’t conquer the storms of life on my own,

I can’t handle being a single parent alone,

I don’t make decisions on my own,

Instead, I have Jesus, who fights for me, walks with me, and conquers life’s storms.

He guides me on the right choices to make as a widow and a single parent,

He is my protector, my provider, my comforter,

Knowing I have the Kings of Kings guiding my every step brings a peace that surpasses all understanding.

“Swarm of Bees”

The doubt swarms around me like a hive of bees trying to sting the faith out of me,

No matter how many stings I take,

I must hold on to my faith, knowing these stings will only be temporary.

My father is the King, and I only have to seek Him,

He can defeat the Queen of doubt who won’t relinquish control over my mind,

No need to fight the bees off or run away from them,

I will not give in to doubt when His words are all I need to face these swarms of bees.
