Knowing When You Are Under Attack or Being Strengthened by God

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. In those moments, the pressure feels intense. The weight of your challenges seems heavier than ever. You might be facing a spiritual attack, or God could be using this time to help you grow. Scripture teaches us that our struggle isn’t against people. Instead, it is against rulers, authorities, and evil spiritual forces in the heavens. This comes from Ephesians 6:12.
James 1:2-4 reminds us that testing our faith builds perseverance. This helps us grow and become mature, lacking nothing.
Either way, this is not the time to retreat in fear.
I am here to remind you that you are already victorious. “1 Corinthians 15:57 (NKJV) declares, “But thanks [be] to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Your strength is not rooted in your own ability. It is rooted in Jesus. Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. That means you do not have to manufacture strength. You receive it from Him.
I know this moment does not feel comfortable. You may want to run. You may want to disconnect. You may want to avoid the situation altogether. But instead of running, choose to seek God in the secret place.
Matthew 6:6 reminds us that when we pray to our Father who is in the secret place, He sees us and rewards us openly.
1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us.
Take your concerns to God. Lay your fears before Him. Ask Him for discernment.
James 1:5 promises that if we ask for wisdom, God will give it freely. He won’t criticize us for asking. He will show you what is an attack and what is an assignment. He will reveal what distracts you and what develops you.
And when you discern it, stand.
Romans 8:37 declares that we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.
Ephesians 6:13 instructs us that after we have done everything, we are to stand.
So keep standing, my friend. Not in pride. Not in stubbornness. But in faith. Stand strong, knowing God is with you. He strengthens and covers you, working everything for your good.
Prayer
Father, help me discern what I am facing. If it is an attack, strengthen me to resist it. If it is a season of growth, strengthen me to endure it. Teach me to seek You in the secret place and to stand firm in Your power. I receive the victory that comes through Jesus. In His name, amen.
