It’s Not About Me: Giving God the Glory Through Every Part of My Story

How Jesus transformed my life, broke every chain, and taught me that every testimony should point back to Him.

There comes a moment in life when you realize your story was never truly about you. Every trial, every setback, every breakthrough, and every victory carried the fingerprints of God all along. The older I grow in my faith, the more I understand that my testimony is not meant to glorify me—it is meant to glorify the One who saved me.

If it is not about Him, then I do not want to tell the story. God deserves every ounce of glory for what He has done in my life. He was the light that guided me through seasons of darkness when I could not see my way forward. Even in moments when I felt lost, broken, and consumed by the weight of sin and pain, His mercy never left me. His love remained constant, even when I did not fully understand who He was—or who I was becoming.

There were seasons where I carried chains I thought would never break. Bondage, hurt, fear, and spiritual exhaustion tried to convince me that freedom was impossible. But Jesus stepped into my life and shattered every chain that once held me captive. What once tried to destroy me became part of the testimony God now uses to help others see His power and grace.

I know now that my strength never came from me. In my weakest moments, God became my strength. He guided me back to the narrow path I had once overlooked. He taught me that surrender was not weakness—it was trust. Trusting Him meant believing He could lead me somewhere greater than my own understanding ever could.

Jesus became everything I needed: my provider, my comforter, my confidant, and my Savior. He loved me unconditionally, even when I struggled to love myself. He revealed that there was a better way to live—a way rooted in truth, salvation, and purpose. Without Him, I was spiritually blind. But through Him, I gained sight, clarity, and direction.

Now I understand why the enemy fought so hard to silence me. The attacks came one after another, hoping I would stop speaking about God’s goodness. But the truth is, God had already prepared me for the journey ahead. He strengthened me long before I realized the battles I would face. Even when others misunderstood my walk with Him, He reminded me that obedience matters more than public approval.

People may not always understand your faith journey, but when God calls you, your assignment is not to please people—it is to honor Him. That is the posture I choose daily.

I no longer want attention for myself. I want people to encounter Jesus through the life I live and the words I share. My prayer is that others see how God transforms brokenness into purpose and pain into healing. I want the world to know just how good God truly is.

There are miracles waiting to be released in the lives of those who believe. When I gave God my yes, I knew the road would not be easy. Walking by faith often requires enduring misunderstanding, spiritual warfare, and moments of uncertainty. But God always goes ahead of us. He prepares the way, strengthens us to endure, and lays the foundation for where He is leading us next.

So I will continue walking with my eyes fixed on Jesus. I will continue declaring that He is the truth, the light, and the only way. I will continue sharing His goodness because I know firsthand what His love can do. And until my final breath, my life and my testimony will remain rooted in one truth:

It’s not about me. It’s all about Him.
