When God Leads You Home

Looking back on how God faithfully led me into a church family that is helping shape the next chapter of my walk with Christ.

Today marks the three-month anniversary of joining my new church family. For the longest time, I attended churches but never felt the urge to become a member. Looking back, I can see that God had surrounded me with women of God, whom He strategically placed in my life to help lead me to this point in my walk with Him. I will never take their guidance, wisdom, and encouragement for granted. They have taught me so much.

Now, I believe it’s time for me to go deeper in my relationship with Jesus, and that includes having a pastor and a church family to walk alongside me in this next season of my faith.

I remember the week after Easter when Jesus woke me up around three o’clock in the morning and impressed upon my heart to go to the church where I am now a member. The moment I walked through the doors, I knew this was the place He was calling me to. It was as if my spirit recognized that I was finally where God wanted me to be, preparing me for the next phase He has for my life.

From the New Members Class to Sunday services, God has been giving me glimpses of what He wants me to learn while allowing me to build connections with people who genuinely desire to seek Him. Every step has reminded me that growth isn’t just about attending church—it’s about allowing God’s Word to transform the way I live.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I trust God’s plans for my life. I believe He led me to Redemption Center not just to sit, praise, and worship, but to take what I am learning and apply it to my daily walk with Christ.

On this journey, I know God is doing a new thing in my life. I must continue to walk by faith as I learn and grow under the leadership He has placed over me and alongside a church family I believe He has called to help me in this next season. As God continues to write my story, I’m grateful for the church family He has led me to and the work He is doing in my life through them. I am excited to see where He leads me next.
