When God’s Love Flows Through Us, Lives Are Changed

Love is one of the most commonly spoken words in our language, yet it is often one of the most misunderstood. We frequently associate love with feelings, expectations, or what we receive from others. But biblical love is different. It is a gift that originates from God and is meant to flow through us—not stop with us. This poem is a reminder that the love we carry has the power to encourage the discouraged, heal wounded hearts, and reflect the character of Christ. May it inspire you to love freely, just as you have been loved.

Four-Letter Word

It flows freely from me,

Refreshing all who receive it.

It’s a powerful blessing, one that needs to be shared.

It’s something to give without expecting anything in return.

I give it freely because it’s not for me to hold onto.

It’s a gift that keeps giving no matter the pain it sometimes brings.

It has the power to bring a smile to someone’s face who may be experiencing troubling times.

It highlights the gift that my Father bestowed on all who love and know Him.

You see this four-letter word get thrown around and often used as a weapon, but why when it’s supposed to be used to uplift, inspire, encourage, help, care, and so much more?

I wish we could let it flow freely even if we don’t get it back in return.

You see, love is a beautiful thing that should be shared.

It’s a gift from Abba; if you know Him, you know love because He is love.

So, share the love you have radiating inside of you.

Who knows who may be in desperate need of the love you carry inside of you?
