New Creation: Embracing Transformation through Faith

From confinement to calling—how God uses hidden seasons to transform us

New Creation (Poem)

When tight fabric wrapped around me,
I felt like a mummy—
confined,
with no way out.

I didn’t realize
it was a cocoon,
waiting for the moment
I would emerge
transformed.

That transformation
carried me
to this very moment.

Letting go
was no simple task.
I hesitated,
clinging to the very things
I needed to release
in order to evolve.

This season of seclusion
felt like the worst—
until I finally emerged
from my cocoon
as a new being.

Looking at my reflection,
I admired the bright glow
of this new creation.

I didn’t realize at first
that my own light
was shining
with such brilliance.

God’s Process of Transformation

There are seasons in life where God allows us to feel hidden, stretched, and even confined. In those moments, it can feel like we’re stuck or forgotten. But what feels like restriction is often divine preparation.

Just like a cocoon, those tight and uncomfortable seasons are not meant to destroy us—they are designed to transform us.

Letting go is often the hardest part of growth. We hold onto old habits, mindsets, and even relationships because they feel familiar. Yet God calls us to release what no longer aligns with who He is shaping us to become.

The beauty of transformation is that it doesn’t always happen where others can see it. It happens in the quiet, in the surrender, and in the unseen moments between you and God.

And then one day—you emerge.

Not the same.
Not bound.
But renewed.

What Does It Mean to Be a New Creation?

Scripture reminds us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that anyone in Christ becomes new. The old has passed away, and the new has come.

This means:

  • Your past does not define you
  • Your struggles do not disqualify you
  • Your transformation is part of God’s purpose

You are not who you used to be—and that’s something to embrace, not question.

Faith Application

If you are in a season that feels like a cocoon:

  • Trust the process
  • Release what God is asking you to let go of
  • Allow yourself to grow, even when it’s uncomfortable
  • Believe that your transformation has purpose

Your glow didn’t come from nowhere—it came from what you survived, surrendered, and allowed God to reshape.

Words of Encouragement

You may not recognize yourself at first when God finishes His work in you. But that light you see—that peace, that strength, that growth—that is evidence of His transforming power.

You are becoming exactly who you were created to be.
