Standing Strong Through Trials, Pressure, and the Calling to Be Set Apart.

“Being different comes with a price.”

Those words spoken by my pastor today stayed heavy on my heart because they revealed a truth many of us struggle to accept. Some people cannot handle the pressure that comes with being different. The reality is, when you are chosen by God and marked for His purpose, you attract spiritual opposition. The enemy fights harder against those who carry purpose, calling, and the light of Christ within them.

I know this from experience.

This walk is not for the weak. There were many moments when I cried out to God asking, “Why did You choose me?” The trials felt heavy. The attacks felt personal. The pressure of standing apart from the world sometimes felt overwhelming. Yet through every storm, I continued to stand.

Not because of my own strength, but because Jesus gave me the strength to endure.

Every trial and tribulation has been shaping me, strengthening me, and preparing me for the assignment God placed on my life. What once tried to break me became the very thing that strengthened my faith.

Being different is often frowned upon in this world because we do not think like the world, nor do we conform to its patterns. As believers, we are called to be set apart. We are called to walk differently, speak differently, love differently, and trust God even when everything around us says to give up.

Being built different means standing firm when others walk away.

It means believing God when situations look impossible.

It means enduring seasons of fire while knowing God is still with you in the middle of it all.

The beauty of being built different is knowing who walks beside you. Jesus never leaves us. He never forsakes us. Even in the fire, His presence remains. Even in the pressure, His hand sustains us.

And while the journey may not always be easy, better days are coming.

So if you have ever felt misunderstood, rejected, or pressured because of your faith and the calling on your life, remember this: God did not call you to blend in with the world. He called you to stand apart for His glory.

You were built different for a reason.
