Be Still and Trust God

Finding Peace in the Waiting

Greetings, Walking By Faith with Char Family!

There are moments in life when being still feels almost impossible. We want answers now, doors to open immediately, and prayers to be fulfilled in our timing. Waiting can feel uncomfortable, especially when we cannot see how things will work out. Yet God gently reminds us in His Word to “Be still and know that I am God.”

Being still does not mean doing nothing. It means resting in the truth that God is already working behind the scenes. It means trusting Him even when the path ahead looks uncertain. Sometimes we try to force outcomes because we fear delay, but God never asks us to carry the burden of figuring everything out on our own. He asks us to trust Him.

Jesus wants us to remain anchored in faith even when we cannot see a way forward. What He promised will come to pass in His perfect timing. His plans are not delayed, forgotten, or broken. While we wait, God is strengthening our faith, preparing our hearts, and aligning everything according to His will.

Today, choose stillness over striving. Choose faith over fear. Be still in His presence and rest in the assurance that the God who made the promise is faithful to fulfill it.

Reflection: Stillness requires trust. Often, we try to move ahead of God because waiting makes us uncomfortable. But God calls us to pause, trust His voice, and remember that He is in control even when life feels uncertain.

Reflection Question: What situation in your life is God asking you to stop striving over and fully trust Him with today?

Scripture: “Be still, and know that I am God…” โ€” Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

Prayer:
Father God,
Teach me to be still in the middle of uncertainty. Help me to trust You even when I cannot see what You are doing. Quiet every anxious thought and remind me that Your timing is perfect. Strengthen my faith while I wait and help me rest in the truth that what You have promised shall come to pass. I surrender my plans, my worries, and my need for control to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

With Love,

Char
