Small Faith, Big God

When Your Confidence Is in God, Not Yourself

You do not need perfect faith to experience God’s power; you simply need faith placed in a perfect God.

Many believers spend too much time worrying about whether their faith is strong enough. We question ourselves when challenges arise, wondering if we believe enough, trust enough, or pray enough. Yet, Scripture reminds us that power is not found in the size of our faith but in the God in whom we place our faith.

Jesus taught that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). Why? Because even small faith connected to a big God can accomplish great things. God’s ability is never limited by our weakness. His strength is made perfect where our strength falls short.

Today, if you feel your faith is small, do not be discouraged. Bring what you have to God. Trust Him with your fears, your questions, and your uncertainties. He is faithful even when your confidence feels fragile. The same God who parted seas, raised the dead, and fulfilled His promises is still at work today.

Your faith does not have to be perfect. It simply needs to be placed in a perfect God.

Scripture: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed… nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20 (NIV)

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your power does not depend on the size of my faith but on who You are. Help me trust You more each day and remember that You are able to do far more than I can imagine. Strengthen my heart to rely on You completely. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Small faith becomes powerful when it is placed in the hands of a big God.

Fantastic post, Charlene, reminding me that many look at God through the wrong-end of a spiritual telescope. Thanks for helping them see clearly our big God.
