Morning Devotional | Trusting God Through the Unknown

By

Good Morning, Walking By Faith with Char Family,

One of the hardest things we can do at times is trust God through the unknown. I know this from experience. There have been moments in my life where I didn’t know what the future would hold, and fear tried to overwhelm me. But through those moments, God taught me how to fully trust Him.

As I began placing my trust in Him instead of my worries, I found a peace that had been missing from my life. The uncertainty didn’t disappear overnight, but my heart became more settled because I knew God was already ahead of me.

This morning, I want to encourage you to keep trusting God. We may not know what tomorrow holds, but God does. He sees the full picture while we only see a small part of the journey. Even when life feels uncertain, God remains faithful, steady, and trustworthy.

Scripture: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

Reflection: Sometimes we want answers before we move forward, but faith requires trust even when we cannot see the outcome. God never asks us to have everything figured out—He simply asks us to trust Him step by step. The unknown may feel uncomfortable to us, but it is never unknown to God. He already knows the plans He has for your life, and His plans are filled with purpose.

When we surrender our fears, worries, and uncertainties to Him, we allow His peace to guard our hearts. Trusting God does not mean we will always understand His timing, but it does mean we believe He is working all things together for our good.

Reflection Question: What area of your life do you need to fully surrender and trust God with today?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for being faithful even when life feels uncertain. Help us to trust You through every unknown season. When fear tries to creep into our hearts, remind us that You are already ahead of us making a way. Teach us to lean on You instead of our own understanding. Fill us with Your peace and strengthen our faith to keep moving forward even when we cannot see what’s ahead. Thank You for never leaving us and for always guiding our steps. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Words of Encouragement: Be encouraged today knowing that God is already in your future. Nothing catches Him by surprise. The same God who carried you through past seasons will carry you through this one too. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting Him. Peace comes when we place our unknown future into the hands of an all-knowing God.

With Love,
