When God Says It’s Time to Turn the Page

When God calls you into a new chapter, faith means trusting Him without knowing every detail. A reflection on healing, surrender, and moving forward with God.

When God Says It’s Time to Turn the Page

There are seasons in life when God asks us to close a chapter before we fully understand what the next one will hold. We may not have all the answers. We may not know exactly where the road will lead. And sometimes, stepping forward requires us to release the very things we once thought we would carry forever.

But faith is not about having every detail figured out. Faith is trusting the One who already knows the ending.

“New Chapter” was born from a place of surrender—a reminder that even when the future feels uncertain, God is not uncertain. He knows the plans He has for us, and He is faithful to lead us, even when His instructions stretch us beyond our comfort zone.

There are moments when past wounds make us hesitant to trust again; moments when protecting our hearts feels safer than opening them. Yet sometimes, healing requires us to trust God enough to take another step, even when we cannot see the entire path ahead.

This poem is about that step.

It is about closing one chapter without knowing exactly how the next one will unfold. It is about accepting God’s assignment, trusting His ways over our own, and believing that every difficult season has been preparing us for something we could not yet see.

If you find yourself standing at the beginning of a new chapter, I hope these words remind you of this:

You don’t have to know everything God is doing to trust that He is doing something.

So, turn the page.

God is already there.

New Chapter

God asked,

“Is anything too difficult for Me?”

And I already knew the answer.

I knew God could do

anything He chose to do.

With that assurance,

I accepted the assignment

He placed before me.

No, this journey will not be easy.

But did I ever expect it to be?

 My life has never followed

an easy path.

If anything,

every season has been preparing me

for this moment.

A moment where I do not have

all the answers,

yet I walk closely with the One

who does.

His ways are not my ways,

but I trust Him completely.

 Past wounds taught me

to guard my heart,

to hesitate in trusting others.

Still, I knew healing required

opening myself again,

not only to people,

but to God.

He knows the plans He has for my life,

plans meant for good,

not harm.

 So I close one chapter

and step into the unknown,

confident that the Author

and Finisher of my faith

is guiding every step.
